Equipment
Please note that BAV electrically test all of its equipment by a PAT - Portable Appliance Test at regular intervals. You will find a green Tested sticker on every single item of our equipment showing its last PAT Tested date and its own unique serial number. Equipment is always connected and tested prior to hire and you will always hear loudspeakers working before you take them away. If you are using equipment in a venue which requires proof of electrical testing please ask for a PAT certificate in advance.In the unlikely event of equipment failure at your event please call our emergency out of office hours mobile no 07887 508157 where we will assist you with advice or come out to your venue with replacement equipment. Please note that false alarms leading to a call out will be chargeable so please check the equipment is actually faulty and not operator error.BAV will always supply equipment with spare lamps and/or fuses where applicable.With today's technology we often find most faults are either cable related or mechanical. It is very rare for electronics to fail. Therefore please treat cables with respect - do not coil them over your arm and just because an item of equipment is supplied in a flightcase it is not an excuse to throw it about!Please return all cables coiled and taped. Cables and/or equipment returned covered in glitter, confetti, mud, grass, lipstick or dog hairs will require cleaning for which there will be a cleaning charge. Please return equipment in the same manner in which you receive it.

Collecting/Returning Equipment
Equipment is collected and returned by you the customer from our premises. We will gladly supply assistance in loading and unloading vehicles if personnel are not dealing with other customers. A loading bay is situated on the road outside our premises in Campbell Road for customer collections and returns.

Delivery/Collection
We can deliver, set up, pack up and collect equipment if required. Please contact us with latest time of delivery, venue address with postcode, whether you require just drop off or set up for a quotation. All hire and delivery/collection fees must be paid at least 48 hours in advance of booking date.

Booking/Reserving Equipment - How does the hire service work?
To reserve equipment for a specific date please call in to our showrooms or telephone us with your card details. A minimum £100.00 holding deposit is payable at the time of booking. BAV do not accept cash as a means of payment for the holding deposit. If you do not posses a debit/credit card we cannot supply you with hire equipment. Hire fees are paid prior to or upon collection of equipment. Holding deposits will be refunded upon return of ALL equipment (including spare parts, leads, spare lamps etc).When equipment is being delivered/collected by BAV all hire and delivery/collection fees must be paid at least 48 hours in advance of booking date.

I'm getting married and can't pick up the equipment in the morning. Can you deliver and set up?
In these situations we often find that hiring the equipment for 2 days and setting up the night before can sometimes be cheaper than paying for an Engineer to set up and then collect same day. Friday to Monday rates are calculated at 1.5 times the daily rate.

Cancellation Policy
When you reserve equipment by paying your holding deposit we may have to advise other customers that equipment is unavailable for hire as we have it reserved for you. If you should then cancel your reservation we may loose business. Therefore hire fees are due under the following circumstances.

Cancellation 48 Hours or less - Full Payment due

Cancellation 7-3 days notice - 50% of Hire Fee due

Cancellation 14-8 days notice - 25% of Hire Fee due

Long-term hire
An alternative to purchasing large volumes of equipment is long-term hire. Hire rates are reduced considerably for hire periods of 12 months or more. Payment must be made in advance by Standing Order only. An ideal service for those venues who are unable to finance the purchase of equipment immediately. Equipment on long-term hire is regularly checked and maintained by BAV engineers. Installation costs are not included in long term hire rates. Installation of long term hire equipment is treated as if you were purchasing the equipment and installation costs are charged and paid for separately.
